Introduction: Cigaru smoking is a daily activity that is dangerous for the body's immune system, smoking cigarettes can risk the health and growth of a person's immunity and health development. Because it is often the case that people often get information from the media about the impact of smoking cigarettes themselves, but people still smoke cigarettes, because many people smoke cigarettes as a basic need for their lives. (Neonmetin 2020)
Research objectives: To find out the student's description of the knowledge and attitudes about smoking cigarettes at the secondary school in the branch of Fernando lasama de luru administrative post in the municipality of Lautem in 2023.
Research methodology: The type in which the researcher uses quantitative descriptive research types. The population in this survey was 351. Sample 78. Sampling techniques in this research are random sampling.
Research findings: The research findings were a description of the level of knowledge, and the attitude of the students towards smoking cigarettes at the Secondary General School Fernando Lasama de Luro, namely, a total of 78 respondents, a good knowledge of 47 people (60%), sufficient knowledge of 20 people (26%), a lack of knowledge of 11 people (14%) Good attitude of 57 people (73%), a bad attitude of 21 people (27%).
Conclusion Research : this conclusion the researcher concluded that the majority of students have good knowledge because many students have knowledge about smoking cigarettes because teachers give their thoughts and the majority of students get more information from staff health as well as the media makes students available. Understanding good knowledge of smoking attitudes.
