ABSTRACT
This thesis entitled “O Uso dos Verbos Regulares e Irregulares de Língua
Portuguesa em Processo de Aprendizagem dos Alunos 110 Ano no ensino
Secundário Geral Oriental Timor Lorosa’e (ESGORTIL) no Posto
Administrativo Cristo-Rei Municipio de Díli.”Regular verbs are inflected
according to the paradigm, that is , the model that represents the common type
of conjugation.. Irregular verbs, as the name suggests, are those that change
the root in some of their forms. This general objective unfolds with the
following specific objectives: 1. To know the use of regular and irregular
verbs in the writing of Portuguese language students. 2. To know the
importance of regular and irregular verbs, students can include regular and
irregular verbs. 3. To know how to define regular and irregular verbs in the
writing of Portuguese language students. The method used in this scientific
work is the quantitative method. And the data collection technique using
questionnaires. And the population of this research are students from 110 Class
A and B at Escola Secundaria Geral Esgortil Becora Dili Timor Leste. The
total population of this research is 36 students and the sample of this research
is 10 students representing two chosen classes with a total of 20 students. The
result of this investigation shows that students understand well the use of
regular and irregular verbs in the process of learning the Portuguese language,
but still have difficulties with the rules for forming sentences for regular and
irregular verbs.
