 <note>ABSTRACT&#13;
This thesis is entitled: An identifying students’ Skill in writing through dictation &#13;
Students second grade Ensino Secundario Geral Olocassa Ossù, In the School Year &#13;
2024.&#13;
This research were aim to identify students second grade ability in writing through &#13;
dictation. The method used in this classroom research was quantitative. Students of &#13;
Ensino Secundario Geral Olocassa were the subject, students second grade were the &#13;
population and the sample 30 students. The research was done by one type of test such &#13;
filling the blank were consist of 25 numbers of item test. Finally the result shows that &#13;
the sample of this research done 444 correct answer with 59,2% percent, however total &#13;
of wrong answer were less than correct answer, 306 with 40,8 % of wrong answer. &#13;
Through the result the researcher could resume that the samples were able in writing &#13;
through dictation in English language. In addition related to master of writing through &#13;
dictation there had high, average and low level, and in this classroom research shows &#13;
that 8 students were categorized as high level scores were ranged by 21-25 and their &#13;
score of correct answer total 179 with 23,9%, 16 students were categorized as average &#13;
level which range from scores 11-20 and their total correct answer were 221 with &#13;
29,5%, and in 6 students were categorized as low level the scores were range by 0-10, &#13;
their total of correct answer were 44 with 5,9 %. Obviously the writer wants to conclude &#13;
that students of Ensino Secundario Geral Olocassa are vital to get attention of study for &#13;
master in writing through dictation to add more capacity and ability in writing skill.&#13;
