STUDY ON USING SONG TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ ABILITY IN ENGLISH VOCABULARY TO THE SECOND GRADE STUDENTS OF EBC 13 UATU-CARBAU IN THE SCHOOL YEAR 2024
ABSTRACT
This study was entitled: The use of song to improve student’s ability in vocabulary to
the student’s second grade of EBC 13 Uatu-Carbau, In the School Year 2024. This
research were aim to identify students second grade ability in vocabulary. The
method used in this classroom research was quantitative. Students of EBC 13 UatuCarbau were the population and the sample 30 students. The research was done by
one type of test such fill in the blank were consist of 25 numbers of item test. Finally
the result shows that the sample of this research done 444 correct answer with 59,2%
percent, however total of wrong answer were less than correct answer, 306 with 40,8
% of wrong answer. Through the result the researcher could resume that the samples
were able in the use song to improve students’ ability in English vocabulary. In
addition related to master of listening through song there had high, average and low
level, and in this classroom research shows that 8 students were categorized as high
level scores were ranged by 21-25 and their score of correct answer total 179 with
23,9%, 16 students were categorized as average level which range from scores 11-20
and their total correct answer were 221 with 29,5%, and in 6 students were
categorized as low level the scores were range by 0-10, their total of correct answer
were 44 with 5,9 %. Obviously the writer wants to conclude that students of EBC 13
Uatu-Carbau are vital to get attention of study for the use song to improve students’
ability in vocabulary to add more capacity and ability in listening skill.
