A STUDY ON ACHIVEMENT OF STUDENTS ABILITY IN LISTENING SKILLS THROUHG SONGS TO THE SECOND GRADE ESTUDENTS OF ESCOLA SECUNDARIA GERAL FERNANDO LASAMA DE ARAÚJO EXTENCĂO CASSA AINARO IN THE SCHOOL YEAR 2024
ABSTRACT
This monograph is entitled,’’ A study on achievement of students’ ability in listening skills
through songs to the second grade students of Escola SecundarioGeral Fernando Lasama de
araujo Extencao Cassa in the year 2024.The aims of this study were to discover the students’
ability in listening skills through songs and to find their level listening skills through songs. The
method that the writer used were quantitative method. The population of this study was the second
grade students of Escola Secundaria Geral Fernando Lasama de araújo Extencão Cassa in the
school year 2024 and the sample was 20 selective students. The instrument used in this study was
2o items from filling the blanks. The result of this study showed that the second grade students
achieve 350 total correct answers with 100% 50 total wrong answers with 12%and 0.00% no
answer.the data showed that the second grade students of Escola Secundario Geral Fernando
Lasama de Araújo Extencão Cassa were able to do the test given because the student total correct
answers were higher that wrong answers. However, they were not carefully in doing the test given
because the test items. In the level of the students ability, there were 14 students categorized at
high level of achieving listening skill through songs from scores of ranges18-20 from 227 students
total correct answers with 43,75%.Then 15 students categorized at average level from scoresof
ranges 15-17 from 113 students total correct answer with 28, 25% and there was one students
categorized at low level. It can be concluded that most of the students were categorized at average
level in achiement of listening skills. This means that they need to study more listening skills
through songs toward the high level of achievement.
